1) Connect the towel warmer to the heater as shown. The

circulator pump should be installed on the hot water

discharge of the mini heater. The return is connected to a

return port on the mini heater or it may be joined with the

cold water supply. A shutoff valve should be installed on

the cold water supply. Install a pressure relief valve on the

mini heater.

2) Open the towel warmer air vent

using the vent key provided,

and fill the towel warmer and

mini-heater with water by

opening the water supply

valve. Close the air vent and

supply valve and allow the

water to circulate. Venting

may be required several times

initially in order to remove

all of the trapped air.

3) Control the circulator pump

using a thermostat, timer or

manual switch.

higher can increase your heating bills by 1%

to 2%.

Manufacturers of many designs of towel

warmers are listed on page 4 along with details

about their products. Most models are elec-

trically-powered because these are so easy to

install. Hard-wired means that it is wired to a

conduit box, not just plugged in a standard

outlet. Hard-wired models will require more

installation work, but it gives a more finished

appearance. Myson has one of the most

complete product lines and its products are

very high quality. Its oil-filled design pro-

vides even heating. Hinge-it makes the

easiest-to-install model that mounts on the

door hinges. When the door is opened, the

towel warmer is hidden.

If you have hot water (hydronic) heat in

your house, Myson and Runtul make towel

warmers that are heated by hot water. The

hot water flows through the towel warmer

tubing. These are easiest to install in new

construction. Myson has a model designed

to be attached to a mini-electric water heater

(see below). These hydronic units can actu-

ally add substantial heat to your bathroom.

For the most convenience and effi-

ciency, select a model with a timer. Depend-

ing on the wattage of the towel warmer, it can

take 15 to 30 minutes to warm the towels

adequately. The programmable timer will

start the warmer before you get up in the

morning so that the towels are warm when

you are finished showering.

Another bathroom comfort option is

adding a heater/vent fan. I have listed the

highest quality and most efficient models

on pages 2 and 3. For smaller bathrooms, a

radiant infrared light bulb type is adequate.

For larger bathrooms, a convection (fan)

type of bathroom vent/heater is your best

option. I like the Nutone and Broan models

best. Nutone makes the "QT series" that is

very quiet. A night light option is available

too. Broan has the most complete

product line and has a decorative

model with real oak trim.
